Barley Fields School
Why we joined Prince Regent Street Trust:
Joining a MAT is a decision of enormous magnitude. It is an anxious, and often uncertain time for any school, because the decision to join a multi-academy trust impacts on the whole school community. Quite possibly the most salient fear, shared by the majority of schools, is the genuine concern about a loss of identity and the coercion to conform to a ‘one size fits all’ model. We were drawn to the Prince Regent Street Trust because we realised, very quickly, that this was a MAT that understood that there is strength in difference; it offered a model of collaboration -where schools have regular opportunities to work alongside and learn from each other without the expectation to conform to a top-down, whole-trust– wide model. Prince Regent Street Trust offers challenge but not change for the sake of change.
The chance to work collaboratively as a partner school before making the decision to join the Prince Regent Street Trust, allayed many of our anxieties linked to joining a MAT: the package of support and the opportunities on offer were extremely valuable and very much appreciated.

Kader Academy
Why we joined Prince Regent Street Trust:
For many years Kader Academy has been proud of its single Academy status and we have enjoyed building strong foundations as a single entity. We have a highly skilled and hardworking staff and as a team we have created the ‘Kader Way’. We have been self-sufficient in terms of CPD and have maintained excellent standards. Why join the trust? We didn’t feel we were in a rush, however after networking with other trusts we decided it was time to take the leap. Julia Armstrong (CEO of PRST) was previously Deputy Head at Kader and made a lasting impression. During her time in role, she had established excellent relationships and respect from all at Kader Academy. When the opportunity to become an associate member arose, we decided we would give it a try. As a school with a great reputation we were approached by many MATs, however we did our homework and PRST really did stand out to us. We found their offer exceptional with their values aligning with our own. After a two year, highly successful and rewarding partnership we officially joined in May 2024. We look forward to the future together.

Hartburn Primary
Why we joined Prince Regent Street Trust:
Working collaboratively with school leaders across the Trust has galvanised school improvement; we have worked at pace to achieve high standards while retaining the unique identity of each of our schools. We share the same vision and values, putting the child at the heart of everything we do to ensure we offer the very best opportunities for all. Staff retention is very important to us, and we pride ourselves on providing career development within the Trust.
